Late Victorian / Early Edwardian 22-Piece Delicate Tea Set for 6

This charming Late Victorian / Early Edwardian 22-Piece Tea Set for 6 includes tea cups, saucers, tea plates, milk jug / creamer, slop (sugar) bowl, and cake/ sandwich serving plate.

Dating from about 1890 – 1910.

It is very dainty, fine white china with scalloped and fluted edges decorated with colourful flowers and leaves motifs with gilded edges.  It is a complete tea set that has survived in its entirety for over 100 years.  Absolutely typical of tea sets of its era.

Set consists of the following:

6 x Tea Cups (2 ¼ “ deep x 3 ½ “ top rim diameter.  Capacity 5 fl oz)

6 x Saucers (5 ¾ “ diameter)

6 x Tea Plates (7 ½ “ diameter)

1 x Milk Jug / Creamer (capacity 7 fl oz)

1 x Slop Bowl – could be used as a sugar bowl (3” deep x 6” top rim diameter)

2 x Cake / Sandwich Serving Plates (9 ½ “ diameter)

Lovely antique condition with no damage, just a small firing crack on the rim of the cake plate.  A few manufacturing marks, not unusual for pieces of this age.  Very little or no wear to gilding.  I would suggest  this tea set has spent its whole life in a cabinet and hardly, if ever, used.
